Deus Noster Foundation, Inc (DNFI) organized a webinar on November 28, 2020 entitled “Understanding the Basics of Trauma-informed Care”. This is the first webinar under the “Basic Psychology for Compassionate Servant-Leaders Webinar Series” initiated by the Center of Learning on Culture and Spirituality Ministry or LoCuS Ministry of DNFI. The webinar was attended by DNFI officers, members, and volunteers, including high school students from St Thomas Becket Academy.
After being involved in a number of charity activities in homes for orphaned children, women in difficult circumstances, and the abandoned elderly, which were organized by the LEAN-ON Ministry (Life-Enabling Actions Nurturing the Oppressed and Neglected Ministry) of DNFI, the officers, members and volunteers felt that we can serve our beneficiaries better if we are well-equipped in engaging with them. Thus, we came up with a capability program to hone our relational skills and empathic qualities.
