The Officers of DNFI went back to Virac, Catanduanes on November 11 to 12, 2017 to join its mission partner, the RGS (Religious of The Good Shepherd), to continue the mission of educating communities on VAWC Law (Violence Against Women and Children). These community-based sessions were held in eight barangays, including far-flung areas in Virac. The orientation program provides information on common myths embedded within the Philippine culture on abuse of women, types of abuse, as well as the rights of women and children, and where victims can reach out and ask for help.
